NHS Centre Northampton

  • Location: Northampton

We successfully secured planning permission for the change of use of an existing industrial building to provide for a specialist haemodialysis treatment centre.

The NHS have strict criteria which govern the suitability, availability and viability of sites to provide for haemodialysis treatment centres. This includes ensuring that any proposed change of use delivers external and internal improvements to accessibility, optimises the layout to ensure that the treatment centre operates effectively and efficiently for patients underdoing treatment, while safeguarding the operations and amenity of neighbouring land uses.

We coordinated the preparation of detailed noise impact assessments and transport impact assessments to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the local planning authority that the proposed change of use was compliant with all the relevant national and local planning policies. The change of use has been implemented, with the building now fully operational as a haemodialysis treatment centre.
