In partnership with SLC Property, we were successful in securing planning permission and other related consents to facilitate the redevelopment of Perry Barr Railway Station and Bus Interchange.
Our commission included undertaking significant engagement with the local planning authority including their urban design consultants to deliver a scheme compliant with the council’s adopted area masterplan.
The scheme was unanimously approved at planning committee. We managed the subsequent discharge of planning conditions, to enable the scheme to be delivered on programme and on budget. The scheme was operational in time to support the successful delivery of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and has been fundamental to unlocking the wider regeneration of Perry Barr.
The project was a finalist at the Royal Town Planning Institute West Midlands awards 2023, and also the national RTPI awards the same year.
