We successfully secured planning permission for the conversion of 19th century stone built stables to a house. The stables were surplus to the operation of the farm. The stables are of local historical interest and are within the setting of a grade one listed building. In order to provide vehicular access to the stables as a house a new access off the highway was also required.
We successfully negotiated with the highway authority, Historic England, and the local planning authority to secure a design which was acceptable to all parties. We prepared the Design and Access Statement together with The Heritage Impact Assessment. We commissioned the Arboricultural and Drainage Assessments and following the granting of planning permission all of the conditions have been discharged. Contracts are being let for the construction of the new home.
