In response to a call for sites, we undertook a public engagement with local residents, businesses, named stakeholders and council members on options for development of a potential development site owned by our client. The engagement identified a number of considerations in respect of the site including flooding and drainage capacity issues, and a significant level of opposition to a development at the location.
On behalf of our client, we submitted a number of sites to be considered for inclusion in the new local plan and the new neighbourhood plan. We subsequently represented our client at the Neighbourhood Plan Examination to advocate for the inclusion of those sites. This resulted in the successful allocation of one site in the Neighbourhood Plan to contribute to housing need in the area.
