Responding to local unmet housing need, EP supported our client to bring forward an outline application following the development of a brief for mixed tenure housing (accessible, affordable, flexible), self-building plots with a community building. This vision evolved through collaborative working between EP and the client.
The application site is agricultural land, outside a settlement boundary, on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The submission prepared by EP was part of private sector led rural regeneration project which aimed at providing innovative housing solutions to promote a sustainable model for living responding the challenge of climate change.
The residential and community scheme proposed the delivery of a wide choice of homes in a well-considered landscape to meet a range of accommodation needs.
