In partnership with SLC Property, we have been supporting a programme of public engagement events relating to proposals for a new station footbridge and car park at Penistone Railway Station in South Yorkshire.
Over the past few weeks, members of our team, Alannah and Thomas, have attended a series of drop-in events to engage with local residents and stakeholders to provide information and gather feedback on the emerging proposals.
Public engagement plays a vital role in the planning process, providing an opportunity to understand local priorities and ensure that proposed developments deliver meaningful benefits for the communities they serve. The feedback received during these events will help inform the ongoing evolution of the scheme.
The project is being delivered by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council in collaboration with Network Rail, Northern, and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
At EP and SLC Property, we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with communities, clients and stakeholders to ensure local voices are central to the planning process. By placing communities at the heart of development proposals, we aim to help deliver projects that meet local needs and create long-term benefits.
We look forward to continuing our involvement as the scheme progresses and the feedback received is used to shape and inform a future planning application.
